Ted Ambrose took his photographs of the August 11th 1999 Solar Eclipse from his back garden in Hazlemere, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, firstly with a Nikon F.E and then a Nikon E.M (when the F.E camera jammed during the eclipse!). The cameras were attached at prime focus to the Celestron Super C8 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope above which was fitted with a full aperture 8" solar filter.

The picture was taken just after the eclipse.
