Building began shortly after planning permission was granted in 1991. Dave Wilke and Fred Stevenson lay the second level of breeze blocks.

Work would continue despite the weather. Here two esteemed Society members pose alongside some bloke wearing a daft hat...


The central pier (nowadays not quite so central) is used as a seat by a Society member. Along the walls - Phil Hodgins, Fred Stevenson & son, John Sherme and Trevor Searle. The walls begin to take shape.

Everything finished and decorated for the grand opening. Yes, the dome is green - thanks to Chiltern District Council...
