Fred Stevenson

The Straight Wall (Rupes Recta)

Taken: 6th April 2006 from Andalsnes Observatory, Amersham, Bucks, UK using a 14" SCT and a Meade DSI Pro at f/10. 1 minute exposure. The Straight Wall officially known as Rupes Recta is a geologic fault on the Moon's surface. Located off the eastern edge of Mare Nubium this fault is approximately 100km in length.
